The Brief
We were approached by Australian barrister, Adjunct Professor of law, and the Australian Capital Territory’s fifth Director of Public Prosecutions, Shane Drumgold, who wanted to increase his online visibility and credibility. After conducting research, we recommended creating a Wikipedia page for him, as it is one of the most authoritative and widely viewed sources of information online.
The Client
Shane Drumgold SC is an Australian Barrister, Adjunct Professor of law, and the Australian Capital Territory’s fifth Director of Public Prosecutions. He was appointed on 1 January 2019 by the Attorney General Gordon Ramsay, succeeding Jon White SC.
Shane Drumgold SC took office as the ACT’s 5th Director of Public Prosecutions on 1 January 2019. Mr Drumgold has been a prosecutor at the ACT DPP since 2002. He was appointed the office’s first Senior Trial Advocate in 2009, Assistant Director in 2014, then Deputy Director in 2017, during which time he prosecuted many of the ACT’s most high profile homicides.
Mr Drumgold has a Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Masters in International Law (ANU), and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Canberra. In 2003, he was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to study restorative justice in indigenous communities in the US, Canada and New Zealand, and has worked as a Public Defender in the Solomon Islands.
The COG Branding Solution
We began the process by thoroughly researching Shane Drumgold’s background, career, and notable accomplishments. We then created a draft Wikipedia article that adhered to Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines. We carefully cited all sources and wrote in a neutral tone to ensure the article met Wikipedia’s requirements for notability and verifiability.
Once the draft was complete, we submitted it to Wikipedia for review. After several rounds of edits and feedback from Wikipedia editors, the article was accepted and published.
The Results
The results of this project were significant for both Shane Drumgold and COG Branding. Shane Drumgold’s online presence and reputation were significantly improved, as his Wikipedia page provided potential clients and colleagues with a comprehensive overview of his career and accomplishments. This increased visibility also led to new business opportunities for Shane Drumgold.
This project allowed COG Branding to refine our expertise in the field of online reputation management and Wikipedia page set up.
